A study published in October 2014 indicates that adults with asthma have a lower intake of Omega 3 fatty acids and higher levels of inflammatory markers. The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology reports that approximately 8% of Americans have asthma. Less than half of the people with asthma reported being aught how to avoid triggers and 48% of adults with asthma who were taught how to avoid the triggers, did not follow this advice.
